right. so yesterdays band prac. quite alright really. though we're playing a whole bunch of new songs for Fantasia VI. we're not playing Japenese Graffiti IV and Loch Lomond anymore. im not fussing about the latter. only the Jap. i mean, its such a nice song!! of course Joan Tan was extremely relieved because if we were still playing the song, she would still have to play the solo. and damn. we're still going to play Omens of Love. damn. its a great song and all. great to listen i mean. all the counting shit. so anyways, the new songs we are playing. not in order obviously.
The Hunchback Of Notre Dame
Mazama
Our Director
Fantasia
"Tekomai" Songs
Orpheus In The Underworld
Ave Maria
Omens Of Love
and some other song that they havent given us yet. so if anyone has any of these songs, please somehow send me the recordings? i would hunt down my senior for the songs but i think shes having her exams. i dunno. shes in J1.
something new. everyone will definately not play all the songs in the concert. there are easy, intermediate, and difficult scores. so the easy ones will be played by this years recruits. the intermediate by those that will be participating in the 2007 SYF, just to see how we fair without the seniors. the difficult by this years seniors. so i definately know im not going to play for one song. the rest are all question marks. the song is Our Director. Mr Tan said this years recruits will be playing that.
then theres this issue of my "beloved" primary 6 sister Agnes Maryann Chong Chun Sing. sure, she says she wants to join band but only because she wants to learn how to play the saxophone. and most probably she will be dissapointed. mainly because you dont get to choose your instrument. you kind of get sorted. then theres this thing where "i go and join the CCA which my friends are joining" which would most likely be choir because they are from the primary school choir, naturally they would just follow up.
so heres what wouold most likely happen. although i wish that it would not.
not sorted into Saxophone section. she goes to join choir. sibbling rivalry.
why sibbling rivalry? because i know the type of company she would mix with is not good company so... so there. the bad company in choir will influence her to look down on band people because choir got Gold, band got Silver. so she will look down on me. stupid elder sister.
damn this whole thing has got my brain all wonked.
going to meet Natasha Lim at J8. walk around a bit. look at comics. buy handphone top-up card. come back to my place. re-write settings of some of her songs on her CD that "can only be listened on the computer".
